With the kiss, Phichit's concerns melt away into nothing; Yuuri's so tender with him that he senses love, trust, warmth... all of the good things he wants from his best friend and roommate. Regardless of whether their feelings are the same or not, they both have them, and that's enough for Phichit.

His back presses to the door and he slides a hand down to sit on Yuuri's waist and urge his front closer, so they're slowly making out pressed chest to chest. He moans playfully, rolling his tongue in Yuuri's mouth.

This is nice. He's never much liked letting people get close to him, physically or otherwise, always feels extra awkward about it, but Phichit never really sets any of that off. He just kind of... is a part of his life and Yuuri's not sure if that's really him learning anything about life or friendship or if Phichit is just that good at knowing how to deal with Yuuri and his moods. Either way, Phichit never makes it feel like he's coddling him or anything, just that he's steady, and there in a way that plenty of people say they are, but rarely demonstrate.

Not that he's really thinking about that in full, right now. Mostly he's just thinking that it's nice, and that he could probably make out with Phichit against the door most of the day and not really notice or mind, just catalog things like the press of his tongue in his mouth and the way they're usually almost laughing into each kiss and--

He pulls back abruptly with a hiss as a shift of his weight makes the hip bruise make itself known again, and it really will be okay by tomorrow, but only if he lets the leg rest, and making out against the door is definitely not that. Even so, he presses a few more kisses down Phichit's neck, warmly, before he pulls back.

"I'd better put some more ice on it," he says, regretfully.

Phichit's mind is going a little warm and fuzzy, his senses overriding all logical thoughts as Yuuri slides so naturally against him. So when Yuuri draws away slowly, moving the kisses down Phichit's skin and heating him up from the outside, too, he doesn't immediately think anything is wrong.

So, when Yuuri pulls away and starts talking about ice, there's a moment where Phichit is bleary and confused, wondering what ice has to do with their sweet makeouts. When he makes the gradual return to reality, he suddenly gasps. "Oh, your hip!" He reaches to untuck Yuuri's shirt so he can inspect the bruising.

"You go lie down," he says, now in mother-hen mode. Or at least coddling big brother mode. "I'll get the ice, okay? Get cozy, Yuuri!"

He laughs, can't help it, and reels Phichit back in for one last softer, sweeter kiss before he lets him go.

"I'm fine, Phichit, but... I probably won't be if I keep standing up," he admits. Adds, "Ice is good, thank you," before he's moving, slowly, to sink down into the couch cushions. Somewhere along the way he ends up out of his outerwear, but his pants are soft enough he doesn't bother to change, just needs to get off the leg soon before it really does start to be a problem.

He probably looks stupidly cozy by the time Phichit gets back, sprawled out on the couch yawning, laying mostly on the side without the bruise. The whole thing looks soft enough to sink into and Yuuri's definitely got an expression like he's kind of hoping Phichit will.

Phichit hustles to the kitchen, making a lot of noise as he goes not out of clumsiness, but just because he likes to. Bangkok is a much louder city than Detroit, and his family was always playing music or singing or arguing - even after all the time he's been in America, he still misses all their chaos. He grabs a clean tea towel, then pulls an ice pack out of the freezer and wraps it up to keep it from being too icy against Yuuri's skin. Ice packs are a plenty in their apartment, given that injuries come with the territory.

When he gets into the living room again, humming happily, he stops at the sight of Yuuri all curled up and coos. "So cute!"

Phichit gently presses the ice pack bundle to Yuuri's bruising hip, and then sinks to his knees beside the couch, his free hand gently touching Yuuri's cheek. "Want me to take your glasses? That looks uncomfortable."

Yuuri flushes at that, but he doesn't move which speaks volumes to either how bad the injury is, or how comfortable he currently is with Phichit. It's likely the latter, if the way he grins is any indication.

"But then I can't see you," he points out, about his glasses, but he lets Phichit take them, and the tone he affects is supposed to be silly, but like a lot of the things he does when he's trying to be silly and sexy, he overshoots the mark and is somehow kind of actually sexy, instead, though maybe still a little silly, "You'll have to come closer."

Yuuri's smiles are such a treasure, and Phichit returns his grin with one of his own as he slides the glasses off of Yuuri's face. After folding them and setting them on the coffee table a bit reverently, he turns back to Yuuri, leaning in closer.

"When you talk like that I get butterflies in my stomach," he confesses, his voice a soft murmur. "You have no idea how powerful you are, Yuuri."

Yuuri blushes to that, ducks his head a little, but he doesn't quite reject the compliment. He never knows what to say to things like that, but from Phichit it doesn't make him uncomfortable, exactly, just... warm.

"Says the person who skated without any underwear on all practice just to tease me," he reminds Phichit, teases instead, but his tone's warm. He doesn't reach out much, but he does lean forward just a little bit so he can hopefully kiss him. He's not quite got the reach on his own.

Phichit giggles and bridges the gap between them to leave a quick kiss on Yuuri's lips.

"That's fair! But everyone knows I'm super saucy trouble already. With you it just sneaks out when you least expect it like WHAM! There's a ninja castle in your town, right? Because it's just like you're a sexy ninja!"

"I don't know if there's such a thing as a sexy ninja, Phichit," he says it way too serious but then he's giggling and tugging on him a little, "Get up here, there's room if you squish and if I'm on my side you shouldn't disturb my hip much." He grins and the tone is teasing, light, but he's once again completely unaware of how actually sexy he's probably being,

"I wasn't done with you yet."

"Fuck," Phichit swears, already moving to sit in the hollow spot in the couch between Yuuri's ribcage and pelvis. "When you say stuff like that, you're only proving me right, you know. You're so sexy, Yuuri."

He leans over and starts kissing Yuuri's neck.

"Then I'm not sure what that makes you. I mostly feel like I can't keep up," case in point, the way that he's arching his neck now while Phichit kisses along it, eyes fluttering closed.

"You always seem so sure of yourself."

"I don't know if I'm sexy," he confesses, brushing his nose over Yuuri's jaw. "I just do the things that feel right to me. Or I think about what might feel good or be fun for me, and then I try it on you. And usually you respond so well so it gets me excited."

Phichit giggles and slides his fingers up and down the nape of Yuuri's neck.

"I... don't know if I've ever really thought much about what would be fun for me," Yuuri says, which is a kind of deeper, more depressed sounding sort of thing than the conversation they're having, but he doesn't say it like it's some kind of snake pit to tiptoe around, just like it's a fact, his expression still peaceful rather than scrunching up and shutting off like it does when he's working his way up to something anxious or bad, "Or what feels right. I don't even know if I know what you mean, honestly." He makes a little, pleased noise at the pass of fingers down his neck, leans his head back for more,

"But I like doing stuff like this with you," it's the same sentiment as the street, but it's both sweeter and hotter here, more clear that the words are an invitation, "So... if that's sexy, I... guess... maybe I am."

RED LETTER DAY. DID YUURI JUST ADMIT HE WAS SEXY IN THE MOST ROUNDABOUT WAY KNOWN TO MAN???

Phichit grins indulgently at his friend, so pleased with everything about the situation: their closeness, Yuuri's honesty and the little pocket of confidence he expressed, his appreciation of their fun. The only thing ruining the moment is the bruise on Yuuri's hip, but Phichit's here to take care of him, and he knows Yuuri will recover quickly.

He giggles and kisses a line down the trail his fingers had been following up and down, a row of neat pecks along the nape of his lover's neck.

"You are sexy," he assures Yuuri with bright, easy confidence. "Not just because you like having sex, but because you're so good at turning me on. You're so graceful and pretty. I love your body and your voice and the way you make me feel. That's why I like you, Yuuri."

He hums and moves his lips along Yuuri's jaw before catching his lips in a hot kiss.

Yuuri still doesn't know how to react to things like that, what to say back. He's taking fumbling steps towards expressing his heart, even more baby steps towards accepting Phichit's. Every inch of ground is hard fought for and how far he's willing to go seems to depend moment to moment. But he's here. And he trusts that Phichit knows at least some of the things he can't say back right away, has to wait for the right time.

Also he blushes really prettily.

Yuuri leans into the kiss as best he can in this position and when Phichit turns it into something deeper, Yuuri makes a low, pleased noise, hand reaching up to slide through short hair, to pull him down into it a little more, encourage more of that, please. Yuuri's stomach takes that opportunity to growl fairly loudly, and Yuuri laughs into the kiss, but it's a mark of both how comfortable he is and how much he's enjoying this that he doesn't push Phichit away, just pulls him into another kiss afterwards, makes a little plaintive noise like he's arguing with his stomach for more time.

Phichit has long since learned that Yuuri doesn't really express his feelings in words very well, and he yields to the kiss that speaks for him. As Yuuri pulls him closer, Phichit shifts onto his knees on the ground beside the couch and leans in, slotting his mouth against Yuuri's hungrily.

He doesn't realize at first why Yuuri is giggling, only that he really likes the feeling and taste and sounds of it. But then he feels more than hears his stomach gurgling. Phichit places his palm on Yuuri's tummy, and giggles himself at the bubbling sensations. They try kissing a bit longer, but it's hard when neither of them can quite stop laughing.

Eventually, Phichit pulls away and pets Yuuri's smooth stomach. "I think it's time to eat now. We're gonna need energy to keep fooling around, anyways!"

"Yeah. Okay," he agrees, but it's clear it's with reluctance. "After dinner?" he doesn't quite flutter his eyelashes, but he lets the look shade cutely hopeful. "I already know you're going to want to put me on bedrest," he teases, with the extremely veiled implication that Phichit might have to keep him there.

He really doesn't know what's gotten into him. He feels like maybe he should be hiding away after giving a blow job in a locker room shower, but he really doesn't feel all that weird about it. Maybe he's finally getting used to some of this.

Phichit giggles fondly and brushes some hair away from Yuuri's forehead. He pecks another little kiss onto his friend's lips.

"I'm definitely not done with you for today, Yuuri. You'll get to embrace your inner pillow princess later."

He grins down at him, and then jumps up to his feet and dances his way to the little kitchenette to make dinner.

Yuuri doesn't have as firm of a grasp of American slang as Phichit does, so even though he knows what the words Phichit says are, it takes him a moment to figure out what he means and then he flushes, buries his head in the cushions for a moment.

He feels a little bad about having him make dinner, but it feels so good to just get to lay on the sofa with the ice pack on the bruise. The pain's already going from sharper to just sore and he knows he's going to be fine by the morning, but the soreness right now just makes him feel kind of sleepy, a bit drifting.

He kind of wonders if this is sort of what having a boyfriend is like. It's mostly an idle speculation-- he doesn't even know if that's something he's interested in, much less Phichit. Their lifestyle while training allows for it, but once the competition season starts, it's a lot more difficult. In some ways, it's maybe even more difficult for Phichit than Yuuri-- certainly Yuuri's got a big season ahead of him, so big that he can't even wrap his head around it, but that probably means he'll end up at less of the smaller competitions, which Phichit is likely to go to. There's a lot of travel and--

... And he's seriously lying here thinking about boyfriend logistics instead of just enjoying laying here for a minute while Phichit makes dinner. He actually manages to stop the train this time and just settles deeper into the couch.

Yuuri gets quiet when Phichit is in the next "room", even though he's still within sight and hearing range. He wonders what's on his friend's mind that's making him squirm around the way he is, or if it's just from the pain.

He sets a pot of water to boil on the stove for the noodles, then starts working on the vegetables that will go into the spicy stir fry it'll end up being. As he peels and chops, he starts humming one of the songs from The King and the Skater soundtrack.

He also doesn't realize that he's watching Phichit a bit intensely during that whole thought process, or that he's blushing by the end of it. Not that either thing is likely immediately obvious, since Phichit's hard at work, but still. A small smile curls his lips at Phichit humming something from The King and the Skater. Yuuri's no judge of musical talent, but Phichit's good enough that it's recognizable at least.

The little smile stays on his mouth as he slides into dozing lightly. He knows he should keep Phichit company, but he's on the heels of both an intense practice and an intense orgasm and the sofa feels so nice...

When one song ends, Phichit moves on to the next. He peeks over his shoulder at Yuuri as he's pouring a little oil into the bottom of the pan. His breath hitches and he smiles as he sees his friend dozing adorably on the couch. Yuuri looks so small and cute when he curls up on himself in sleep.

As quietly as he can, Phichit goes over to the couch to pull Yuuri's glasses off his face, since they're digging into his skin. He knows it'll probably rouse him, so he's ready with the gentle shushing and comfort.

Yuuri's eyes do blink open, but it's even odds on whether he actually sees Phichit, or if he's still asleep. His own hand reaches up and curls around Phichit's for a moment, dragging him in just a little to press a kiss on the side of his hand. It's thoughtless and sweet and open enough that it's even more likely that he's not really awake.

A moment later he shifts a little bit and curls back into the sofa, eyes closing again.

Phichit is so taken aback by the sweetness of Yuuri's sudden, mindless gesture that he has to clap a hand over his mouth to keep from squealing out loud. His boyfriend-ish person is so, so freaking cute!!

Phichit folds Yuuri's glasses and places them down on the coffee table, then gets a small throw blanket and tosses it over his body. He kisses Yuuri's forehead, then creeps back to the kitchen much more quietly to finish dinner.
